CATHY LARSON

Cathy Larson is a retired elementary music teacher who spent 36 years inspiring young musicians in Fort McMurray. She has been involved with the Fort McMurray Music Festival since 1988, leading award-winning school choirs, handbell ensembles, and speech arts students to success at both the provincial and national levels.
Since joining the Board, Cathy has served on the Awards Committee and continues to champion arts education by directing an adult handbell choir and coaching speech arts students. She believes the Festival thrives because of dedicated volunteers and encourages others to become involved in supporting young performers.
