Transportation of Adjudicator

 

● Morning session: pick up the Adjudicator at their hotel 30 mins prior to the start of the first session. (The Merit Hotel across from Keyano College, on the corner of Franklin & King St.). Then, depending on what the Adjudicator would like to do, you may be required to bring them to a restaurant for lunch during the break. Or they may choose to go back to their hotel room. Note: You may choose to join them for lunch and then drop them off at the venue afterward. However, you may not discuss any particular performance please keep the receipt for YOUR lunch and bring it back to the Festival. You will be reimbursed from the cash box immediately. If the Adjudicator chooses to eat on their own, the person who volunteers for the afternoon session will need to pick them back up and bring them to the venue. You will be provided with the cell number of the next volunteer to let them know the lunch plan. Please text them as soon as you know the Adjudicator's preference, so they can plan accordingly.

 

● Afternoon session: You will receive a text from the volunteer of the morning session, to let you know whether or not you will need to pick up the Adjudicator at a particular place (ie. their hotel) or if you will just meet them at the venue. You will also be responsible for getting the Adjudicator to where they want to go for supper. If you join them for supper, please see the note above about keeping your receipt. You will also need to text the volunteer for the evening session to let them know if they need to pick up the Adjudicator or if you will be bringing them back to the venue.

 

● Evening session: You will receive a text from the volunteer of the afternoon session, to let you know whether or not you will need to pick up the Adjudicator at a particular place (ie. their hotel) or if you will just meet them at the venue. You will also be responsible for dropping off the Adjudicator to their hotel at the end of the evening.

 

● Venue Responsibilities: ○ Address the audience: review rules/regulations and reminders listed in the provided handout ○ Introduce the Adjudicator by reading our their provided Bio ○ call students to the stage in order of the program ○ Fold Performer certificates in half and place inside of their provided book ○ Pass the Adjudicator the book and certificate according to performances ○ Transfer the Adjudicator's marks to the master mark sheet ○ Apply the matching coloured seal (sticker) to the certificates, according to the mark key.
